Humour in the Workplace - Lighten Up at Work!

Thursday – February 9th 2006

Location: 3M Canada plant at 1840 Oxford St E (at Clarke Road)
( Park in the large parking lot on the west side and enter through the employee entrance.
You must sign in at the security guard’s station.)

Guest Speaker: Tim Condon

Tim has enjoyed getting others to laugh since childhood. Tim Condon has been involved in improvisational theater for about 12 years, as both a performer and instructor. Tim has hosted successful improv playshops in New York and Ontario. In addition, he performs standup comedy, writes plays and music, and is a member of Toastmasters International.
Tim has taught “Humour in the Workplace” through Conestoga College’s Continuing Education program. Tim has attained accreditation as a Certified Laughter Leader from the World Laughter Tour, and supports that organization as a contributor to its newsletter and website.

Why Laughter and Humor Work at Work
People want to be happy in their work. Statistics show that when employees like their coworkers, they tend to take fewer sick days, work longer hours, and are much more pleasant to be around. "People that play together, stay together". When employees associate work with friendship, leaving becomes difficult, oftentimes impossible. Workers with a sense of humor do better overall.

Join us for an evening of fun and laughter. Learn about some easy ways you can get your employees and yourself to have more fun at work. Fun and humour reduces stress.
