NEXT MEETING -

ASQ London Section 0403 presents….

The Leadership Bridge

Date: Thursday February 14, 2008
6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Location: Lambeth Arena & Community Centre
7112 Beattie St., Lambeth (London), ON (Map)

Guest Speaker: Don Whitred, PQA Associates

Quality & Productivity Improvement Consultant Don Whitred has 30+ years experience in successfully managing technical projects in the telecommunications, electronic, plastics, medical device, and automotive industries. As Director of Millennium Project for Northern Telecom (now Nortel Networks), he was responsible for introducing a new public telephone system, involving over 75 people. Previously, as a Product Line Manager, Mr. Whitred led numerous productivity, capacity, and reliability projects for introducing or optimizing business telephony products to the North American market. Earlier, as a Process Control Engineer, he was responsible for key aspects of projects to enhance product yield and quality for a wide range of electronic and mechanical products. Since 1990, as Senior Associate of Process Quality Associates, Inc., Mr. Whitred has been providing project management consulting services to both manufacturing and service industries. He is a leader in applying Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) to improve project performance in product and process development. His clients, drawn from dozens of industry and service sectors, include TietoEnator (one of the largest IT services providers in Europe), United States Air Force 46th Test Wing (keeping the Eglin AFB pilots up-to-date with the latest in weapons capability), Vari-Form (a leading supplier to the North American automotive market) and Sunoco Chemicals (multi-national provider of resin). The Bridge Game is a journey through a life-like project. The Bridge Game is an experiential method of learning in which you, as part of a small team, will discover the magic of Team Synergy, and how together your team can achieve the extraordinary.

Confucius wrote… “What you tell ‘m … they will forget What you show ‘m … they may understand What you let them do … they will remember!!”

This is not a lecture or show & tell presentation on how teams should work. With the Bridge Game, you experience how teams really work and how you influence the outcome.
