Root Cause Analysis Techniques

Date: February 12, 2009
6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Location: Best Western Stoneridge Inn & Conference Centre

Guest Speaker: Four facilitators. This meeting will be a “hands on” learning experience in the use of four Root Cause Analysis techniques.

The meeting will focus on four techniques from the book Root Cause Analysis: A Tool for Total Quality Management Anderson, (Gaylord F.; Dell, Larry D.; Wilson, Paul F.). Instead of a guest speaker we will have four facilitators that will introduce four Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques. The techniques will include change analysis, barrier analysis, events and casual factors analysis, and tree analysis. The participants will be assigned one of four groups that will work on a case study using one of the four RCA techniques. Afterwards the four groups will reassemble to share their results and experiences with the RCA technique that they used. The tutorial on Root Cause Analysis promises to be an educational opportunity you should not miss.
